This report presents findings from research on the user experience of travelling with a guide dog. Working in collaboration with The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, the objectives of the project were to investigate guide dog owner confidence in travel situations and to examine the relationship of guide dog ownership to travel behaviour and decision-making. More broadly, the project identified areas of success, as well as key challenges and opportunities for improvement in the travel and tourism sector, and facilitated the exchange of knowledge on practical and legislative/policy issues for travel and tourism providers.
