Aims and Objectives
This module aims to provide a means for enabling students to reflect on their personal development and the implications this might have for their future career paths. It will include:
- Guidance on recording and evaluating skills.
- Guidance on careers from the Centre for Career Development.
- Guidance on skills for use in seeking employment.
- Information, guidance and advice from a range of graduate employers and alumni.
Aims:
- To raise the profile of employability issues within the undergraduate programme.
- To provide students with key skills for use in seeking employment.
- To provide students with the opportunity to reflect formally on their learning and wider experiences while at university.
- To develop skills of reflection and recording amongst the student body.
On completing this module, the learning outcomes are such that students will be able to:
- Apply complex ideas to solve problems
- Reason logically and work analytically
- Perform with high levels of accuracy.
- Transferable Skills:
- Communicate effectively and clearly in written and oral formats
- Analyse and solve complex problems accurately
- Undertake independent study of a problem or subject.
